MCEC Touchstone Energy Scholarship

Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative is offering Touchstone Energy scholarships to high school seniors within its service area. The scholarship is open to any senior attending Lexington Districts 1, 2, 3 and 5; Saluda County Schools; and private schools within those districts.

Seven $3,000 scholarships are given by Mid-Carolina Electric to students in local school districts who are exceptional examples of "The Spirit of Cooperation", a deeply-ingrained value and driving force within the Touchstone Energy brand. Special consideration is given to students who are greatly involved in their community, participate in extracurricular activities and have a financial need.  Since 1990, over 100 scholarships have been awarded to students who fit these criteria, exhibit a positive attitude, and possess a good reputation within their respective communities.

This year we received nearly 100 applications and our judges chose the following students who are dedicated to their goals and demonstrate a sincere desire to serve their community. Having been chosen as a recipient of one of these scholarships is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations to you all and from everyone here at MCEC...we wish you the best of luck in pursuing your educational goals!
